Crafts, Typical Products and Cuisine
In Abruzzo, craftsmanship has deep roots. There are centuries and centuries of secrets, but also bigger and smaller intuitions that are fed by necessity and passion; a passion transferred from father to son.
Wrought iron and copper, precious metals with elaborate filigree handwork, ceramics and textiles, leathers and skins fill the shop displays where the atmosphere of ancient times blend in with the enthusiasm of a younger generation that is well aware of the art of these trades. The products from the land and sea are simple and genuine. They are the real protagonists of the cuisine of this region, with extra virgin olive oil and wine. A mouthwatering series of flavors, famous pastas, saffron, cheeses, salamis, dairy products, delicious meats and unique traditional sweets can be purchased in the shops of the village.
